PAULA
VLAMING
Paula brings strategic fundraising and communication
expertise to Essex & Drake clients. Paula’s
analytical thinking, writing, and communication skills
serve to evaluate and then maximize an organization’s
resources for success in raising funds and market awareness.
Her experience producing and re-structuring events enables
her to assist clients in customizing event models to effectively
utilize and reflect the organization’s unique attributes.

Paula has demonstrated success in events both
large and small, often doubling net profits in a single year,
always dramatically increasing net revenues and exceeding event
goals.
Paula graduated with honors from the University
of California, LosAngeles, and earned her Juris Doctor from
the University of California, Hastings College of Law. She was
the Associate Director of Communications and External Affairs
at Blue Oak School in Napa. Prior to that, she served as a Deputy
District Attorney in Contra Costa County for ten years.
Active as a community volunteer, Paula is a member of the Acorn
Soupe Board of Trustees and Ways and Means Committee of the
Napa Valley Nursery School.
