DEBRA JONES
For nearly twenty years Debra Jones has helped guide recognized Silicon Valley education and human service non-profits to fundraising success through her creative and highly organized management.
As Development Director of Notre Dame High School in San Jose, she coordinated the school’s first capital campaign in its 150-year history including raising an additional $2.2 million to meet project cost increase after the capital campaign for new campus construction was completed.
She provided leadership to Downtown College Prep’s fund development program by creating the school’s first comprehensive annual and long-term fund development plans, including successful plans for funding new school development expanding the Downtown College Prep charter school network to three schools in five years.
Additionally, she has provided workshops to non-profit boards on effective annual and major gifts fundraising as well as conducting feasibility and planning studies for capital projects.
As a long-time community volunteer herself, Debra most enjoys working with volunteer boards and staff members to realize their potential in guiding their non-profits to achieve bold organizational fund development goals.
Debra is a member of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, having served in a variety of board positions. She is the 2011 chapter president. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri and received her Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. |
