Casey cobell - Senior Consultant
With more than 17 years of non-profit leadership experience, Casey approaches consulting from a unique vantage point from being a funder and a fundraiser.
Casey most recently was the Foundation Director for the Rogue Valley Manor Foundation where he was responsible for strategic and programmatic leadership of a foundation embedded in one of the nation's top Continuing Care Retirement Communities. |
While director, he initiated a comprehensive review of all organizationalsystems and processes,culminating in strategies that resulted in the largest annual income via donations and largest distributions in foundation history. In addition, Casey provided strategic leadership and management services to all seven foundations across the parent corporation,
Previous to this, Casey was the Executive Director of the John Stott Global Initiative, a $16M global capital campaign to provide funding for religious programs around the globe. For over seven years, Casey served as the Executive Director of the Rivendell Stewards’ Trust, a private family foundation that gave annually over 50 grants totaling $2.5M to indigenous NGOs throughout the developing world.
Casey has a long history of program development for many charitable organizations. He is currently the chair of the Board of Directors of Summit Adventure and has served on the American Indian Health and Services (Santa Barbara) Board of Directors.
A graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, Casey earned a master’s degree in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and performed doctorate-level research on the topic of global philanthropy at the University of Wales/Oxford Centre for Mission Studies in Oxford, England. During his academic career, Casey was awarded numerous distinctions, including the Leadership Development Program scholarship, Academic Fellowship – American Indian Graduate Center, Native American Scholars award, and the Paul K. Jewett Faculty Scholarship.
